A school may remain structurally safe but become inaccessible.
An industrial facility may avoid direct water damage while trucks, workers and emergency services can no longer reach the site. 


During a flood, protecting the route to a facility can sometimes be as important as protecting the facility itself.


Start With the Routes That Cannot Be Lost
Typical priorities include:
Roads leading to hospitals or emergency facilities
Access routes serving schools and public buildings
Industrial entrances and logistics routes
Utility access points
Roads connecting residential areas with evacuation routes
Construction-site entrances where equipment or personnel must continue moving


In many cases, a carefully positioned protection line along a vulnerable road section can prevent floodwater from cutting off access to a much larger area.


One Height Is Rarely Right for the Entire Site
